A brief history of the Users Organization
The Synchrotron SOLEIL Users Organization was initiated by a group of potential users during the construction phase of the SOLEIL facility. They notably organized the first Users’ Meeting in January 2006.
Since then, elections have been held in 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025.
Until 2024, S2UO was known as ORGUES (ORGanisation des UtilisatEurs de SOLEIL).
