A new step in the scientific collaboration between India and France

On October 14th, 2014, SOLEIL and the Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research (IFCPAR) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Debrapiya Dutta, Director of the IFCPAR and Jean Daillant, Director General of  SOLEIL have signed the agreement which lays the foundations of a facilitated collaboration between SOLEIL and Indian scientists willing to perform experiments in synchrotron facilities. Communication will actually be reinforced between the two so that the IFCPAR is able to support any Indian scientist performing experiments at SOLEIL. IFCPAR might also help financially and materially Indian researchers whenever they wish to attend a workshop or conference held at the synchrotron.

This rich collaboration follows the preparation visit last 17th and 18th February 2014. It reflects the strong will of SOLEIL to be open to the Indian scientific community. The IFCPAR (which receives financial support from the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of France) works for the scientific cooperation between India and France.
