Electron Beam Parameters
The storage ring characteristics condition part of the performance of the whole facility. SOLEIL storage ring is extremely compact and however reserves a very large part to the most powerful Light sources. It was also designed to satisfy all categories of users, first by the choice of the nominal energy for machine operation, but also thanks to the five possible operating modes.
Accelerator Physics Group
The Accelerator Physics Group consists of 5 physicists and welcomes PhD students and post-doc sicentists. Each member plays an active role in the definition and optimisation of SOLEIL's accelerators functioning, in terms of performances, operation modes and settings of the electron and photon beams. The members of the group are also involved in collaborations with external laboratories and in students training on accelrator physics.
