⚠️Guest House closing

• From June 19^th, 2026 (03h p.m) to August 24^th, 2026 (11h a.m).

Users can be accommodated at SOLEIL Guest House available 24 hours a day. The Guest House is located next to the Synchrotron building and the canteen. 

There are 81 comfortable single rooms with two of them devoted to people of reduced mobility (PRM).

Requests for accommodations must be submitted by the Main Proposer in the participants declaration in the SUN set. Booking requests sent by email cannot be processed.

People under 16 years old cannot have access to SOLEIL site (including the Guest House), except for the reception building.

Users subsidized by SOLEIL

Users supported by SOLEIL have priority to be accommodated in the Guest house.
The booking confirmation is sent to them after the User Office has approved the list of participants. 

Users non-subsidized by SOLEIL

Users not supported by SOLEIL may be accommodated in the Guest House according to availabilities.
A pre-booking confirmation is sent to non-subsidized participants after their declaration has been validated by the User Office.
The booking confirmation is then sent by the guest house manager 7 days before their arrival date.

A financial contribution of 55 € VAT included / night is required to partially cover accommodation expenses. It does not include breakfast.
This contribution is paid by the non-subsidized user, during the stay, upon presentation of an invoice by the Guest House manager (from Monday to Friday 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00 / on Saturday and Sunday 10:00-12:00).

⚠️ In case of No-Show, the 1^st night will be due, and the next nights will be cancelled (unless user contrary request before 4:00 pm the second day).

 Once you have checked in, it is no longer possible to make changes to your pick-up arrangements.

➤ For any questions, you can ask to the Guest House manager from Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 18:30, and on the Week-end from 8:00 to 12:30.

Arrival and departure

The check-in has to be done after 15:00 and the day of departure, you must check-out no later than 12:00 (p.m.) in order to allow the cleaning of the room.
If necessary, you can leave your luggage in lockers with combination locks reception desk for few hours.

Outside opening hours and if the manager is not available, please contact the Reception at SOLEIL Reception Building (Tel.: +33 (0)1 69 35 91 91).

Rooms

The bathroom with shower is separated. Conditioning air is adjustable manually.
Each room is equipped with a telephone.

Free Internet access is available:

-    Wall outlet (Ethernet cable not provided)

-    Guest Wi-Fi network, accessible with your SUN set username and password.

During your stay, the management at SOLEIL strongly recommends you to keep your valuables in the safety deposit box (size: 28x23x14cm) that is at your disposal +in the room.

Parking area

Users can park their car at the parking area close to the Guest House.

The canteen is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner as follows:

Users subsidized by SOLEIL

Meals are covered. Payment for meals at the restaurant till using the subsidized badge provided upon arrival by the receptionist at the reception building.
This badge is issued after the Main Proposer has submitted a request for coverage in advance via the SUN set (Participants declaration).

Users non-subsidized by SOLEIL

Meals are not included, Payment for meals is made directly at the restaurant till (by cash or credit card).
ATTENTION: Loading your non-subsidized badge is not possible. 

PICARD Snack Bar 

A vending machine for individual prepared meals, as well as microwaves, are available in the SOLEIL restaurant, providing convenient and flexible access at any time of the day or night, 7 days a week (accessible during the beam shutdown). Prices range from €2.85 to €6.95 including VAT, with a new offer every 3 to 4 weeks. This turnkey service is accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM).
