SOLEIL will be present at the Village des Sciences at the ENS Paris-Saclay, October 5-6, 2024

On Saturday October 5 and Sunday October 6, SOLEIL will once again be taking part in the annual Fête de la Science (Science Festival), offering the public the chance to discover SOLEIL and science through fun workshops!

 

For this 2024 edition, SOLEIL will be present at the Village des Sciences, this year again taking place at ENS-Paris Saclay site. It will feature over 40 scientific workshops, as well as scientific games and artistic performances!
On the SOLEIL stand, our workshops will enable you to discover how the particle accelerators that produce synchrotron light work, but also to play the scientist and discover some examples of research carried out at the Synchrotron.

Saturday October 5 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday October 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Workshop Descriptions:
- The Secrets of Matter: Understanding and Exploring Its Mysteries
Dive into the fascinating world of light with our interactive workshop. Discover how white light splits and recombines, and learn what valuable information can be revealed through different types of light. Join us for a bright and captivating journey!
For ages 6 and up.

- Dive into Particle Accelerators
Take part in self-guided workshops and exciting demonstrations to understand how the particle accelerators at the SOLEIL synchrotron work. A thrilling scientific experience for all ages!
