September 2024: Jean Susini Takes Office as Director General of SOLEIL

Following his appointment in December 2023, Jean Susini took office as Director General of the SOLEIL Synchrotron on September 1, 2024, for a five-year term.

After a 31-year career at the ESRF, Jean Susini became SOLEIL’s Scientific Director for Life Sciences in 2021. He now succeeds Jean Daillant, who is now the Director General of the ESRF.

"The members of the Board are very pleased to welcome Jean Susini to his new position as Director General of SOLEIL. He joins us at the launch of the renewal of the storage ring, a challenge to be undertaken with all the teams to transform the infrastructure into a more efficient and sustainable 4th generation Synchrotron, serving the French, European, and international scientific communities," said Thierry Dauxois, President of SOLEIL’s Board.
