Visits: instruction manual

Update : 13th July 2021

Warning: due to the pandemic, visits are allowed but groups are smaller than usual (20-30).

Like almost 4500 visitors a year – school pupils, students, teachers and individual visitors – come and visit SOLEIL and meet our teams: a customised programme with talks, hands-on workshops, visits to the site or themed discussions.

To prepare your visit, please take note of the information below (types of visit, admission conditions and reservations).

Visits during the Covid-19 pandemic

Since June 2021, SOLEIL reopens its doors to visitors.

However, taking into account the sanitary conditions, the visits will be shorter (there will be no conference room) and the groups smaller than usual (10 instead of 15, bringing the maximum size to 30 in instead of 45). The guides will take extra time during the tour to introduce the subject, but please allow a shorter time than the times indicated.

We do not yet know when we will be able to return to our usual system, but any changes to the visit conditions will be indicated here.

Thank you for your understanding.

Visits for individuals or groups of less than 7 people

SOLEIL mainly welcomes middle and high school classes or promotions from university or engineering schools, as well as other groups when they are substantial. However, we also open our doors to individuals as well as small groups. For these people, it is also necessary to register via the online form, one Wednesday afternoon per month, in FRENCH only.

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to organize visits in English for individuals.

Next dates (in French):

- Wednesday October 13 at 2 p.m. - FRENCH
