SOLEIL is committed to the public and to society, so it is open to any citizen who is curious about science. Thus, clubs, associations, cultural centers, tourist offices, etc. are welcome.
Visits for groups
Visits are held from Tuesday to Thursday, mornings, and afternoons, outside school holidays (Zone C). You can book a date using the calendar below and register 8 people or more. For security reasons, the acces to SOLEIL is restricted and only people above the age of 12 can enter.
Program
Duration : 1h30 - 2h
Meeting point : In front of the welcome building. The acces is restricted so please make sure to arrive 15min before the start of the tour. Latecomers will not be able to attend the tour. We ask you to aslo be careful regarding the group size. People without a ticket will not be able to attend the tour.
Tour : It will start and end at te welcome building. Visits will start with a presentation about the history, mecanics and applications of the synchrotron SOLEIL, followed by a tour of the synchrotron to discover its many infrastructures : the building, the control room and the experimental hall. The content of the visit will be adjusted to the audiance.
To prepare your visit
We ask you to be particularly careful about the size of your group: any person exceeding the maximum group size, whether a participant or an accompanying person, will be refused entry to the site.
Reservation
Unfortunatly, we are currently not organizing visits in english for groups of less than 5 people.
