50 ans d’aventure EXAFS en France : des pionniers du LURE aux sources de 4ᵉ génération
La conférence XAFS50.Fr se déroulera à SOLEIL du 5 au 9 Octobre 2026.
Comment voir l’environnement des atomes ? En 50 ans, la spectroscopie EXAFS a conquis des chercheurs de tous horizons grâce à sa sélectivité atomique et orbitalaire alliée à une grande sensibilité, en offrant un accès unique aux propriétés structurales et électroniques des matériaux.
Développée en parallèle des grands progrès du rayonnement synchrotron, l’EXAFS s’est imposé étape après étape, jusqu’à devenir un outil incontournable auprès de nombreuses communautés scientifiques comme dans l’industrie, commençant même aujourd’hui à être déclinée en technique de laboratoire avec des spectromètres commerciaux.
L’événement XAFS50.Fr fera dialoguer mémoire et perspectives scientifiques, en mettant en lumière les expériences pionnières menées au LURE (ACO, DCI, Super-ACO), le développement des formalismes et la standardisation des analyses, et les avancées actuelles de SOLEIL et de l’ESRF-EBS, source de 4ᵉ génération – une évolution que rejoindra bientôt SOLEIL-II.
