Séminaire - Science Opportunities with Diffraction Limited Soft X-ray Beams
Steve KEVAN
(Deputy for Science, Advanced Light Source, Berkeley Lab, Berkeley, USA)
The emergence of high brightness multibend achromat accelerator lattice designs opens new science opportunities based on x-ray beams with full or nearly full transverse coherence. I will discuss early science opportunities enabled by the ALS Upgrade discussed in a recent workshop.
A primary focus will be the ability to probe spontaneous, nanoscale/nanometer processes like nucleation, carrier motion at steady state, and solvent cage effects.
