Science@FELs 2024

June 17-21, 2024 Synchrotron SOLEIL and Sorbonne University

Nous sommes heureux de vous inviter au Synchrotron SOLEIL et à Sorbonne Université (Paris) à la conférence « Science at FEL » (17 au 19 juin 2024) et au « Forum on Advanced FEL Techniques » (20-21 Juin 2024).  Après la précédente conférence réussie à Hambourg et les nouveaux développements et résultats passionnants de ces sources de lumière extraordinaires, nous attendons avec impatience une conférence fascinante et informative. Elle comprendra les résultats les plus récents, bien sûr, mais aussi des tutoriels sur le fonctionnement et les utilisations du rayonnement FEL ainsi que d'éventuelles visites d'accélérateurs et de sources laser pertinentes dans la région de Paris-Saclay.

Le Forum quant à lui vise à rassembler les experts et les utilisateurs de FEL.

Les Jeux Olympiques de 2024 se dérouleront à Paris entre fin juillet et mi-août 2024. Pour être sûr d'obtenir un logement au meilleur tarif, nous vous conseillons de faire votre réservation rapidement.

FELs of Europe Award application

FELs of Europe Award application (March 15th, 2024): closed

The prize is awarded in recognition of recent work for scientific excellence in the area of free electron laser science and applications in its broadest sense by a young scientist (below 35 years at the ceremony date).
The work for which the individual is nominated must be such that a significant component of it was performed during the period 3 years prior to the award. The award is accompanied by a certificate, and a monetary sum of 1000 euros.
Please send a cover letter provided by the nominator with proposed citation, the nominee CV(s), a list of publications and up to three letters of endorsement of the nomination to m.helm@hzdr.de

CAMPUS JUSSIEU

The Campus Jussieu is located in the 5th arrondissement, the oldest in the city of Paris. Located on the left bank of Paris, it covers most of the magnificent Latin Quarter. Many public institutions reside in this district: 'Ecole Normale Supérieure' (ENS), National School of Chemistry of Paris (ENSCP), the Currie Institute, the Ministry of Research or Sorbonne University which includes the Campus Pierre and Marie Curie. The 5th arrondissement is also full of monuments such as the Pantheon, La Sorbonne and famous gardens like the 'Jardin des Plantes de Paris'.
