New Trends 1D

7-12 juin 2016 Synchrotron SOLEIL

Nous avons le plaisir d’annoncer un atelier dédié à l’exploration des systèmes quantiques unidimensionnels, réunissant des théoriciens et des expérimentateurs de toute l’Europe.

Depuis la découverte du liquide de Tomonaga-Luttinger au début des années 1980, les matériaux de basse dimensionnalité ont constitué un terrain d’essai riche pour les prédictions théoriques. Ces dernières années, le domaine a connu des avancées passionnantes sur plusieurs fronts. On peut notamment citer les progrès significatifs dans la théorie des systèmes 1D au-delà du paradigme traditionnel de dispersion linéaire — souvent en lien avec les simulateurs quantiques à atomes froids — ainsi que dans les expériences pompe-sonde résolues en temps et la synthèse de nouveaux matériaux unidimensionnels, y compris ceux basés sur des motifs de Moiré.

Cet atelier vise à encourager le dialogue entre ces domaines émergents et d’autres, en offrant une plateforme pour partager des idées, établir des collaborations et identifier les principaux défis et opportunités à venir.

10:00 - 12:30: Talks on Upgrade and on Soleil experimental techniques (for example one Director for the upgrade, Antares, AILES, TEMPO)

The day aims to get a roadmap going, a work plan for a roadmap paper, and plans for future cooperations
