On January 22 and 23, 2024, the first face-to-face Cybersecurity Workshop was held at SOLEIL, bringing together Information Systems Security Managers and IT Infrastructure Managers from the main European institutes in the Photon and Neutron communities (ESRF, ILL, Diamond, PSI ESS, STFC, ELI, HZB, Elettra, ALBA, EU-XFEL), as well as representatives from institutions such as CERN, Géant and JISC.
The group's objectives are to encourage the sharing of best practices and feedback, and to pool our efforts in the fields of attack detection and prevention.
The two half-days of exchanges on subjects such as crisis management and IS reconstruction, cybersecurity governance, identity management and remote access to experience were rich in lessons for all.
All participants agreed to organize this type of face-to-face workshop twice a year, in addition to the monthly videoconference meetings introduced last year.
