Actinide-XAS is a series of workshops providing a unique opportunity for presentations and discussions on the applications and results from synchrotron-based techniques in radionuclide/actinide sciences.
Ten years after the inaugural workshop, Actinide-XAS-2008 has been the 5th Workshop on Speciation, Techniques and Facilities for Radioactive Materials at Synchrotron Light Sources. Scientists involved in this field as well as newcomers have been highly encouraged for attending this workshop.
For the first time, this international workshop has been organized as a satellite meeting of the Plutonium Futures conferences “The Science” 2008.
This workshop has been be held from Tuesday 15th to Thursday 17th, July 2008 at the French synchrotron SOLEIL (located in Saint-Aubin, near Paris) where the new beamline MARS, dedicated to the study of radioactive matter, is being opened.
!! The 6th Actinide-XAS will be held in September 2010 at Spring-8 in Japan !!
