> This conference is the third in the series of ISDSBs initiated in 2003 by the JSPS and the first to be held out of Japan. 
 
> Paris hosts the meeting within the area of the third generation SOLEIL synchrotron radiation facility and Université Paris-Sud at Orsay, within 1/2 hour of central Paris via railway. The timing of late May promises a nice Spring and early summer time.

Proceedings papers will be published as a special issue of the Journal of Synchrotron Radiation.
All speakers as well as poster presenters are expected to submit 4 pages manuscript, which will be printed after usual refereeing process.
