Commercial Exhibitions for companies
The Workshop on simultaneous combination of spectroscopies with X-ray Absorption, Scattering and Diffraction will be held at SOLEIL on June 24th and 25th, 2010.
The scope of the workshop is to bring combining spectroscopic techniques, such as Raman and UVvis absorption, to light. The possibilities of such techniques have grown considerably, due to the evolution of the instrumentation which enables one to use spectrometers of smaller sizes using fiber optics with performances equivalent to those of previous generations.
Synchrotron studies using this kind of combined techniques develop more and more over the different synchrotrons centres, ESRF, SLS, SOLEIL …) and for different characterisation techniques in the field of hard X-rays (Absorption X, Scattering and Diffraction). They have shown how much crucial these combinations are in order to understand the systems under such characterisation:
- by the gain of the complementary informations
- by getting rid of the artefacts induced by separate experiments
- by the easier understanding, of the processes occurring at fast rates
- by the detection of the X-ray beam damage
The combined techniques are developing in the Material sciences field as well as in the biological ones. Such combinations need technical adaptations around the sample and compromises need to be found due to the specific constraints of each technique.
This workshop will be the occasion of sharing our experience between beamline scientists and the user communities, who worked on such combined techniques. The objectives are in the first place to show what has been developed on the different synchrotron beamlines through oral and poster communications.
Round tables will be organised as well in order to discuss the technical aspects on how to combine techniques efficiently. We also wish to present the capabilities of the spectroscopic techniques (Raman and IR) with an introduction given by two SOLEIL experts in these fields. Several sessions more specific will be devoted to catalysis, physics of materials under constraints, genesis of nanomaterials and biology.
This workshop offers to your company a devoted place for discussion with about a hundred participants.
During the event we offer a few exhibition areas to companies interested in presenting their products located in the Hall of the Main building of SOLEIL.
The area available, of about 4 m2, is one table and 4 chairs.
As the poster session will take place before the buffet at the end of the day, a poster panel is at Companies disposal, giving the opportunity for easy interaction between exhibitors, visitors, attendees and SOLEIL staff.
These services are proposed in the 1000 € without taxes (1160 € all taxes included), which includes:
• The exhibition area and a poster panel;
• for 2 persons : access to plenary sessions, to round tables, the abstracts booklet, coffee-breaks, the buffet of the 24th and the lunches (June 24th and 25th).
The exhibitors can also insert an advertising page into the abstract booklet of the workshop distributed to all the participants, for a supplementary 200 € without taxes (239,20 € all taxes included) amount.
