The workshop aims at:

• exposing the recommendations of the working groups to a broader and transverse audience
• presenting and discussing the preliminary design of the synchrotron beamline end-stations: one dedicated to hard X-ray micro-tomography, the other to µm scale hard X-ray spectro-microscopy.

Presentations will include usage of synchrotron radiation for the set of themes supported by the platform, a summary from the working group discussions and state of the art in synchrotron based implementation of spectro-microscopy and micro-tomography. Each day will end on a round table with the aim to foster discussion among scientists on the potential optimisation of the beamline to be built.
