The purpose is to upgrade the scientific prospective about the use of short pulses at SOLEIL. Indeed new perspectives are open (in terms of average flux and FWHM of pulses) with the use of so called CRAB cavities. Those cavities generate a local modification of the electron bunch which allows to compress the photon pulses on the sample down to, ultimately, 500 fs.
The different talks on the subject will permit to describe briefly the expected performances and to evaluate/consider the interest of such applications in a large scale of energy, in order to establish, in a second step, a strong scientific case in favour of developing such project at SOLEIL.
