Chi-Chang Kao ( NSLS, Brookhaven National Laboratory, New York, USA) Invité par Jean-Pascal Rueff Jeudi 30 mars à 15H - au grand amphi de SOLEIL
An overview of current and future magnetism and magnetic material research capabilities at the National Synchrotron Light Source will be presented first. These capabilities include a complementary set of magnetic sensitive techniques ranging from far-IR, UV, to x-ray spectroscopy, soft and hard x-ray resonant scattering, LEEM/PEEM imaging, and several high field magnets. It will be followed by a presentation on the development of combined ferromagnetic magnetic resonance and time-resolved x-ray magnetic circular dichroism study of magnetic switching dynamics, and the possibility of using intense linac-based Tera-Hz radiation for magnetism research.
