French competitiveness poles to meet at SOLEIL

Industry & development Contents > competitiveness poles

Five competitiveness poles, including two of global caliber, located in the department of Essonne, are today active in Ile-de-France. The principal objectives of these poles are to encourage exchanges between research and industry, to create jobs, and to increase the attractiveness of the area at the national and international levels.

In order to describe the technological potential offered by the SOLEIL synchrotron and to evaluate its interest in the operation of French competitiveness poles, the Regional Bureau of Ile-de-France for the Deposit of Records and the board of directors of the SOLEIL synchrotron have organized a meeting to take place next June 15 with the directors of these poles, during which will be presented:

  • The SOLEIL synchrotron
  • The results of a study of SOLEIL application markets conducted by the firm of Ernst & Young
  • The possible implications of SOLEIL in the poles’ themes
