How to prepare a proposal

SOLEIL will offer a range of access modes to ensure that the different user needs can be met.
   
Standard Projects

The beamtime is evaluated by peer review committees and allocated to users on a six-month cycle with two calls for proposals each year, as described in these pages.

BAG proposals can now be submitted on two beamlines: PROXIMA1 (Macromolecular crystallography) and, independently, SWING (Small Angle X-ray Scattering).
 
SOLEIL BAG duration is ONE YEAR.

Rapid access
    
A very limited
number of projects may be accepted as rapid access for urgent work.
   
    
Long Term Projects
  
SOLEIL will accept a limited number of long term projects having allocations of beamtime over a two-year period or exceptionally over three years.
  
Please note that proposals for long term projects will be evaluated at mid-term each year.
  
A full report will be required at the end of the proposal and will be reviewed by the Peer Review Committee which recommended the attribution of the Long Term Project (LTP).
