Proposals submission:
   
** Opening: December 15th, 2011,
** Deadline: February 15th, 2012 - 23:59 
   
Beamtime allocation periods according to SOLEIL different access modes are the following: 

  • for standard proposal:
    6 months --> second semester 2012,
        
  • for BAG proposal (either on PROXIMA1 for Macromolecular crystallography or on SWING, which is new, for Small Angle X-ray Scattering - SAXS):
    1 year --> from July, 2012 to July, 2013.

Users general guide

   
The users general guide which contains several information to better know the SOLEIL SR facility and to help you to prepare your experiment.

 
It contains specific information intended to act as a guide to the support facilities and services available at SOLEIL during your measurements.


Detailed tables on shifts allocated for each beamline will also be made available in the SUN later on.

You are encouraged to read this general guide well in advance to your visit to SOLEIL, in particular to know what to do when you are notified that your proposal has been accepted also to prepare your experiment, to become familiar with the Safety requirements, etc…

SUN set proposal guide

The SUN Set proposal guide will help you to become familar with the system, to submit your beamtime allocation proposal and act as an on-line guide, available before submitting a new proposal (in the SUN Set).

Beamlines and transverse programs

The experimental facilities of a synchrotron beam center are called “beamlines”. This is a group of successive hutches where the beam is gathered, selected, focused, and directed toward samples to be studied.
 

Library - Scientific documentation

   
The SOLEIL Library was created in 2005 and consists of a part of the LURE Library collections.
   
  
The Library is open 24/24h, 7/7 days, with card entry outside normal opening hours.
 
  

The librarian is present for consultation and help with documentary research
from Monday to Friday 8:30 -17:00.
  
  
Lending is reserved to SOLEIL staff, researchers, Post-doc, and students (see lending conditions).
